Acceptable stay near the station
room service check-out time
The hotel offered direct underground access to the station, so it was SUPER convenient.
I found a strange policy at this hotel. They did not make up rooms after 1:30 pm. Therefore, if one leaves the hotel after 1:30 pm, the room will not be serviced for the day. Check-out time was also early at 11:00 am. The reception did NOT highlight this during check-in.

excellent services!
daily water warm shower roomy space luggage storage
i found daily water bottles very useful. pajamas provided were a nice touch. the warm shower and bath were great and the room felt roomy. proximity to conveniences was also a plus. i easily rolled my luggage to the hotel and they kindly held it for me when i arrived early.
soundproofing in the doors was somewhat inadequate and hallway sounds were easily heard. it bothered me a little bit.

the breakfast included mostly japanese style options. i found a reasonable selection that suited my tastes. the restaurant was clean and well maintained each morning.

a good stay near the heart of everything
direct access convenient proximity professional staff
location impressed me! access to the hotel directly from the underground passage connecting to the station was convenient. i followed the underground east signs towards kyoto tower, and the hotel looked shortly after. the proximity made traveling so easy. the staff was friendly and professional.
while largely wonderful, the soundproofing from the hallway was less than ideal. sounds carried through the door more easily. this became bothersome occasionally.

limited timeframe water policy
The room service concluded early at 1:30 PM. This policy restricted our schedule. We found this inconvenient since we often returned after that time. The limited timeframe for room service was not ideal. the hotel provided only one complimentary water bottle per guest each night, insufficient. Additional bottles incurred charges. I found this policy rather strict.
